Salad Brothers is a family owned, hydroponic lettuce farm.
Salad Brothers is built on a legacy of excellence, with the Waverley property supplying high quality lettuce for over 30 years.
We have upgraded our infrastructure and systems to the 21st century, while keeping the best aspects of the original lettuce farm.
Our dedicated team of experts, provides the best service, delivering premium lettuce across the Taranaki and Manawatu regions, and beyond.

We have reduced water use and converted to three phase power, and we are constantly looking at more ways to reduce energy and water use. We use the latest climate controlled technology in our brand new 900 square metre tunnel house.

Our hydroponic system uses less water than traditional farming and we create less than one household bin of rubbish a week. We feed any lettuce scraps to our cattle, which they find delicious!

Our lettuce is harvested at it's peak, for superior freshness and flavour. We follow a rigorous quality control protocol to ensure our product is excellent and that it lasts longer in your fridge or chiller.
Hydroponic farming uses up to 90% less water than soil farming, and produces more abundant and healthier crops that require minimum interventions. Growth cycles are faster and produce is protected from weather and pest damage, inside tunnel houses. Picking is at waist height, making harvesting easy. This all means every harvest is high quality.
